SDGs Coordination

Tanzania has continued to make progress in implementing the international commitments to sustainable development including the 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are being implemented in the framework of Tanzania Development Vision and its five years development plans, which currently, Five Year Development Plan III (2020/2021-2025/26) is in place. One of the objectives of the FYDP III is to ensure global and regional agreements (e.g. The Africa Agenda and SDGs are adequately mainstreamed in national development planning and implementation for the benefit of the country.

The main organs for Sustainable Development Goals implementation in Tanzania include among others; The Ministry of Finance and Planning (MoFP), The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), the Planning Commission and President Office Regional Administration and Local Government (PO-RALG), and The National Parliament.
