Bio (United Nations Association of Tanzania)
United Nations Association of Tanzania (UNAT) is a Non-Government Organization with registration No. 000181 established in 1964 to champion the implementation of the UN Charter in Tanzania. UNA Tanzania is devoted to mobilizing for action, promoting inclusiveness, enhancing accountability and to ensure that no one is left behind in the implementation and achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Tanzania.
UNA is engaging in advocacy work for inclusive policy and legal frameworks formulation and implementation, building capacity of youth, women and persons with disabilities to leverage available opportunities to improve their livelihood and increase their participation in the decision-making process at local and national level. The organization convenes diverse groups of young people and like-minded CSOs in dialogue forums and consultations to gather voices important in setting priorities and design mechanisms to ensure the execution of policy priorities for a long-lasting change.
Bio (Africa Philanthropic Foundation)
Africa Philanthropic Foundation (APF) is a Tanzanian charitable foundation with headquarters in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
APF is the co-convener of the Tanzania Sustainable Development Platform in collaboration with the United Nations Association of Tanzania (UNA-TZ), and a member of the national joint steering committee on data revolution for sustainable development under the auspices of National Bureau of Statistics.
APF is a member of the Africa Civil Society Working Group on Sustainable Development (AWG), a regional civil society platform on sustainable development, and also a member of Action for Sustainable Development (A4SD) and Together 2030, which are global civil society networks on sustainable development.
